There are a few items I always have in my closet & multiple versions of each. When it comes to classics, I like to have an assortment of these pieces in different styles to maximize the outfits I can create. The 5 classic items I always have in my wardrobe are…

Classic White Button-Up Shirt: For me this is the one item I have the most of. The styles range from fitted to over-sized, full button-up & pop-over, classic collar or mandarin collar, & even some with texture details. Having an assortment like this gives me the versatility to make each look unique with the foundation of a great shirt.

Ripped Denim: Some of you may disagree that this is a “classic item”. However, for me, I live in ripped denim and over the years it has definitely become my go-to pant of choice. There are so many ways to dress it up or down, that I couldn’t leave it off my top 5 list.

Black Pumps: Every woman should have a pair or two or three or four in their closet. As someone who wears heels all the time, having a few pairs in different heights, textures, & silhouettes is important to make sure I can complete the perfect look. I recently bought these from Banana Republic and never want to take them off! They are SO comfortable.

Faux Leather Jacket: This has been a timeless piece for decades & I personally will never see it go out of style. All my leather jackets are faux, which makes the purchase a little easier since it won’t break the bank. I love how a leather jacket can instantly make an outfit cooler. Throw it over a feminine dress or pair it with ripped denim for an instantly edgy-cool look.

Leopard: A classic item doesn’t have to be a specific piece. This is an example of a print that I consider a classic. And a neutral. And a favorite. Oh leopard, how I love you. From shoes & scarves, to handbags & outerwear, there are little pops of leopard all over my closet. My favorite though is this clutch. It goes with EVERYTHING.

Everything about this is flawless and I honestly could not agree with you more on these classic items. I live in white shirts and distressed denim and I love that you mentioned all of those as your classic pieces. This is why you have become one of my favorite bloggers! Happy Monday!
