From childhood dance recitals to high school dances, sequins were always there. Now the trick is how to get away with wearing them as an adult. Well really, it’s not that difficult! Sequins are showing up more and more in everyday wear. Whether it’s a trim detail, or a full-on sequin jumpsuit (I want), sequins can be worn without needing tap shoes or a limousine.
I got this skirt AFTER the Nordstrom sale (kicking myself for not getting is during), and knew it would be one of those pieces I would wear all through the fall. I wanted to keep it more casual for this look, so I wore this comfy tee and knotted it since it is a little oversized, and tied a denim jacket around my waist. I love the simplicity of this look and also how the tee dresses down the sequins. I have already worn this skirt again but with a blue oxford shirt for a dressier look. This skirt is so versatile and will definitely be on of my fall staples. Yay sequins!
