Do you ever find yourself following the same formula when putting together an outfit? Whether its the color palette, pieces styled, or specific silhouettes, due to ease of getting ready, the weather, or just what you feel most comfortable in? Lately I have been following the same formula when making my outfit selections focusing on wearing my favorite essential pieces.

I have talked about my utility jacket more times than I can remember, so you can tell it is definitely one of my go-to pieces. This time of year I like to incorporate this jacket (or another similar option) as a layering piece to my ensemble. Since it has cooled off I’m gravitating towards sweaters and pairing them with a button up shirt for a warmer combo. Adding my utility jacket was a no-brainer to make this look a little more laid back.
