After our 8.5 hour flight we made it safely to Honolulu and quickly checked into our hotel at the Moana Surfrider. We arrived late in the afternoon, so we decided to take it easy the rest of the day enjoying the view from our room with some champagne. I could honestly just sit and stare at the ocean all day – it feels like home to me!

We decided to start the evening off a little early with a walk on the beach to watch the sunset before heading to Roy’s, our favorite restaurant, for dinner. I wore this black maxi tie back dress and couldn’t help but want to twirl around everywhere. It was the perfect dress to wear on the first night. For traveling to the beach or tropical vacations, I try to pack very light and mainly live in lightweight dresses. This is one of my new favorites, especially since there are so many different ways to tie up the back.
