As predictable as it is, New York Fashion Week is like Christmas for most fashion bloggers. Not only do you get to see all your out-of-town friends gathered in one place (like coming home from college for Christmas break), but it’s day after day of presents with all the shows/presentations of apparel to see!

For the first day of the best week ever, I knew I had to wear my favorite Club Monaco skirt to the Club Monaco presentation. CM is one of my absolute favorite go-to’s for smart, chic pieces, and this skirt is nothing short of that.  The flounce adds a bit of flare, but stays classy. I decided to go for the classic black & white look by pairing the skirt with an equally as flouncy piece from Chicwish. As I mentioned in my previous post here, Chicwish is a great destination for affordable on-trend pieces. This top can easily be worn with jeans, but coupled with the skirt, it created a more playful, put-together ensemble and was a great way to mix high-low fashion.
