There are a few items in my closet I can’t live without. I consider these pieces essentials and the foundation to building a versatile wardrobe.
The Denim Jacket. This has been an iconic staple for decades. I recently found this one from J.Crew and love the slim fit. The bright blue wash is the perfect shade to pair back to all my favorite neutral items in my closet. I’m a huge fan of adding a denim jacket to almost any outfit to give the ensemble a laid-back look.
Faux Leather Pants. I live in these pants once a week. They are perfect for making a look a little edgier but can still be a classic item. I’m constantly wearing them with feminine blouses & heels during the week, or a tshirt and sneakers on the weekend making them the perfect essential non-denim pants.
Statement Heels. Within the mix of my neutral palette of heels, there are a few pairs I own that I consider my statement heels. It can be based on color, style, detail, etc. however they are typically not my everyday go-to. These heels make the statement on their own and can instantly change the mood of a look. I love adding a pop or color, like this red pair, to add more fun to this look specifically.
