If you find a basic you love, buy it in every color. This is a rule I wrote about a few weeks ago, which still stands! Perfect example: this grey tshirt by Madewell for Nordstrom. At first, I only purchased the white and black since those are my two go-to shades for most everything. However, I couldn’t stop thinking about the grey tshirt, so decided to complete my collection.

These simple tshirts are perfect. The cut, fit, and weight are exactly what you want in a throw-on tshirt. More than that, this grey tshirt can be worn a number of ways. Further, dress it up with ripped denim and block heels or throw it on with shorts and flats to run weekend errands. Good looking basics are extremely versatile and effortless, which are my two top criteria for most pieces.
