How to Style a Blazer | 12 Outfit Ideas For Any Season

Blazers are a classic wardrobe essential, and they’re not just for work anymore. Casual blazer outfits are some of my favorite to put together because you really can style them with just about everything. Whether you’re looking for an interview outfit with a blazer or a casual blazer outfit to wear to brunch, it’s such a versatile piece that can do so much for your look. Today, I’m sharing 12 womens blazer outfit ideas that can transition pretty seamlessly from season to season featuring some of my favorite blazers I own!

Black Blazer Outfits

Arguably, the most classic blazer is a black one. Dress it up, dress it down—black blazer outfits for women are truly endless. One of the most classic styles is a black blazer and blue jeans. If your office is a bit more laidback, this could work with a great pair of ripped jeans like I styled it below! I also love pairing it with a pair of denim shorts during the summer for a black blazer casual outfit that’s still incredibly chic and perfect for brunch. Of course, you can go with white jeans as well because there’s nothing more classic than a black and white look! Follow any of these tips and you’ll ask yourself how to style a women's black blazer again.

White Blazer Outfits

I have been getting so much wear out of my Express white blazer already this season and can’t recommend it enough! A few of my favorite white blazer outfit ideas are a white blazer with shorts; however, make the shorts a bit dressy for the possibility of making this look office appropriate. You could also wear a look like this on a date night with your SO or to happy hour with the girls. I also love the look of a white blazer with jeans. It’s a perfect summer workwear look especially on casual or summer Fridays (Man, I miss summer Fridays!).

Camel Blazer Outfits

The camel blazer might be the most versatile color for a blazer, besides black of course. I’ve owned this J.Crew camel blazer for years now and am still finding new ways to wear it every season! Whether it’s with a white button up shirt and pair of ripped jeans, with a simple black top and pair of white jeans, or a white tee and non-ripped jeans, there’s no end to how you can style a camel blazer. Beige Blazer Outfits

As far as spring/summer blazers, a beige blazer is ideal! Paired with light denim and a light top, the beige blazer gives a fresh summer forward look that’s perfect for the office and weekends. Another beige blazer outfit idea is pairing one with shorts for a brunch or out-on-the-town look! Basically when it comes to how to style this classic piece, you can’t go wrong with a beige blazer with jeans.

Navy Blazer Outfits

The last essential blazer color that I feel can be overlooked sometimes is a womens navy blazer. If you’re wondering what colors jeans go with a navy blazer, I’ve found that light wash denim and of course white jeans help to create an eye-catching contrast! I recently wore this navy blazer on a date night with Will and absolutely loved the outfit. It felt put together but just a touch more casual than a classic black blazer, and I’ll definitely be repeating the outfit!

More Ways to Style a Blazer

In general, I feel that no matter how modern or hip your workplace is, you can do better than jeans for an interview. Try a neutral pair of dress pants with a lighter blazer (in both color and fabric), a full monochrome look, or consider pairing a blazer over a dress or top and skirt combo if you don’t necessarily wear a legitimate pantsuit. Also, when buying your blazer, the fit depends on your preference! If you prefer a fitted blazer, get your true size. But, if you want that cool girl oversized look, I suggest going up 1-2 sizes! You can always wear a blazer with shorts, and oversized blazers typically look better with your best pair of denim shorts for the summer.
