The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale officially opens up to everyone tomorrow! The sale will last for a little over 2 weeks, ending on 8/4/19. During the sale you can save up to 40% of NEW fall merchandise, beauty exclusives, home decor, men's & kid's products, as well as some summer styles to wear in-season. But these items will sell out FAST. It's no secret that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is extremely popular, and a lot of the items have a tendency to sell out during early access (July 12-18). However, sometimes Nordstrom will re-stock items for those only shopping during public access! So my advice to you is to bookmark/favorite/create a wishlist of the items you want, even if they are sold out, so tomorrow at 12:30pm EST, you can shop immediately and get those items you were looking for!
For the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I like to invest in the items that make the most sense. I'm not going to suggest you buy a t-shirt that's on sale for $11.90 when it's regular price is $15. You're only saving $3. This is the time to take advantage and save on those bigger ticket items, especially that styles that are typically more expensive during the fall! That includes coats/jackets, sweaters (specifically cashmere/wool), jeans, and booties. Activewear and beauty also have a lot of great deals, so I definitely suggest checking those out!
Pro Tip: check out as soon as you add an item into your cart, to avoid shipments not being fulfilled.
This gorgeous blush leather jacket was my favorite purchase from the sale. At over $150 off, it's one of the best items to invest in. I typically buy a leather (or suede) moto jacket of some sort during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and it's always my most worn piece during fall! FYI the fit is a little boxy; I'm normally a US4, but I sized up to US6 to have room to layer with sweaters (I found the shoulders to be a little snug).
These booties are $50 off and honestly probably my favorite pair of booties I've ever owned. They come in a few tan colors, as well as black leather. I personally have the Tortilla suede and think they are the perfect neutral shade for fall/winter. FYI I don't wear socks with them, and I took my normal size.
I know this says wool, but I promise you it is the softest sweater I've ever worn. This is one of the pieces I get excited about every year because it's always such a great fit, the quality is amazing, and they typically come in a few colors. This year I got 'heather tan cobblestone' but I'm also loving the 'heather dark grey'! It is $70 off and I'm actually wearing an XSP since the store didn't have a regular XS, but it works perfect!
I have way too many jeans and really don't need another pair, but I couldn't resist this pair! They fit like a glove, I love the ripped detail, and they are $75 off which is a great deal for designer jeans! This was actually the only pair of jeans I bought during the sale and have found them to go with everything I bought. For sizing, they didn't have my true size, but they had one size up and one size down. I ended up sizing down, but my true size would have fit. Because they have so much stretch, the size up would have also worked, they were just a little more relaxed.
I got a similar version of this sweater last year during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I wore it ALL. THE. TIME. This sweater is like tissue cashmere. It's incredibly lightweight, so soft, and looks great with jeans. I'm normally an XS in Vince, but I sized up to a small so it would be a little more oversized. This will be one of my top worn sweaters this fall, for sure!
As of now this jacket is sold out, but if it comes back you need to get it immediately! It's UNDER $100 and such a great fall/winter activewear jacket. The fit is super flattering with is rare for jackets in this style. Not only will I wear this quilted jacket with leggings and activewear looks, but I'll also pair it with jeans and casual sneakers for cooler weekends. FYI I'm wearing a size small.
Every women needs a black leather jacket in their closet, no matter what your style is. It's such a classic piece that can be layered over t-shirts, sweaters, dresses, paired with skirts or jeans, sneakers and heels. It's the most versatile piece to have in your wardrobe and let me tell y0u. This one is GOOD. The quality is buttery soft, the fit is great (I'm wearing a small), and its $100 off! Seriously you don't want to miss out on this!
This is the only "budget-friendly" option I bought this year, but it's SO good. I'm so impressed with the quality and how nice this cardigan feels. It's a great layering piece and comes in 5 other colors. I would definitely recommend this piece! I shared how to style it 6 different ways in this post in case you are looking for more inspiration!
I told you I would be investing cashmere! I love the option of having a short sleeve sweater that I can start wearing now and into fall. It layers well under jackets, but also looks great on its own! I'm wearing size P which is the same as an XS. Its a little bit of a longer length so I can easily be tucked into jeans or skirts.
