Every time I'm in New York during Fashion Week, I always plan "free" time to actually enjoy the city. Its so easy to get caught up in the moment of shows, meetings, events, etc, that I always feel like I missed out if I don't have time to do non-fashion week stuff. Luckily my best friend lives in the city, so the weekend is typically blocked off for us to explore NYC.
This past trip we tried a few new-to-me restaurants; Beauty & Essex for dinner which I highly recommend for a large group & Barbounia for brunch near Gramercy Park. Both were delicious! We walked around as much as possible (the weather was so nice!), wondered around Chelsea Market, drank champagne, and just enjoyed the city. I'm planning to visit more frequently during 2017, so if you have any recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc, please send them my way!
