I’ve been shopping the NSALE for years and always manage to find clothing, shoes, and accessories I love. While this year was no different, I have definitely changed my approach to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a little bit. In the spirit of only buying what I really want and love, I stayed focused this year and walked away with only a handful of things but those things are what I consider to be the best things from this year’s 2023 NSALE.
Just as a reminder, Icon access starts July 11, Ambassador access beings July 12, Influencer access starts July 13, and then EVERYONE can shop July 17!

Wrap Coat
This coat was at the top of my list, and I was so happy with how it looked and felt in person. It’s definitely an investment piece, and one that will last forever and never go out of style because it’s classic—not trendy. While the color looks darker online, the Ecru shade is very much a light neutral, which means it will look good over everything. I got the size 6 so I can wear heavier sweaters underneath it during the fall and winter. I love this piece so much!
Cashmere Sweater
I didn’t end up buying this sweater, but it was a close call. I realized I have something similar, so I didn’t need another but it is so lightweight and incredibly soft. Not only is it under $100, but it’s 100% cashmere! I found the fit to be a little narrow for my taste, so I sized up to the medium as I like sweaters to be more relaxed than fitted.
Oversized Sunglasses
I have a black pair of Celine sunglasses that I wear almost daily, and these are very similar. The big differences are these are a gorgeous dark tortoise shell frame with green lenses and are just a few millimeters smaller than my black ones. For $290 (down from $460), these are absolutely worth the investment, and I left the store with them because every woman needs a black and brown pair of shades!
Belted Trench Coat
If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know how I can’t resist a trench coat. I love the long length on this one specifically—it hits right at my mid-shin which is new for me (if you’re shorter, you may prefer to get it hemmed). The color is richer in person and for less than $150, it’s an amazing steal of a staple! This runs true to size; wearing a small.
Oversized Striped Shirt
I loved this button down, but I have one that is almost identical that I’ve been wearing so much, so I didn’t *need* it. However, this one is just $45! I love the vertical stripes on the body of this shirt and the horizontal stripes on the pocket—it’s playful and different. The fit is oversized and I felt great in the small, for whatever that’s worth!
The True Body Triangle Convertible Strap Bralette
These triangle bralettes I wear by True & Co from Nordstrom are quite literally the only bras I wear. I just have no desire to continue searching for the perfect bra because, for me personally, this is it. I have a small chest, so I don’t need much support and these convertible bralettes do exactly what I need them to. No wires, no elastic, no seams—they’re the best!
Pajama Set & Robe
This full cashmere PJ and lounge set is an amazing gift idea for both yourself and a lucky someone. I wouldn’t necessarily actually sleep in these pajamas, but they are incredible for lounging and so insanely soft. I didn’t get the set because the pants are cropped and came up short on me, and I felt I didn’t need another robe, but now I’m re-thinking my decisions and may end up ordering. For reference, I took a small in the set and an XS in the robe.
Black Blazer
I need another black blazer like I need an extra toe, so I didn’t end up buying this from the sale but I highly suggest it if you’re in the market for a sleek, classic, feminine black blazer with gold hardware. The price is right, the fit is great, and it can be styled endless ways during the fall and winter! This does run small, so size up! I’m wearing a 6.
Cashmere Mist Deodorant Trio Set
I’ve tried to find a better deodorant than Donna Karan’s Cashmere Mist, but I keep coming back to it because it’s just too good to beat! I was so excited to see that it’s a part of the NSale in a 3-pack for just $72 (normal retail would be $96), so I immediately added them to my cart. It’s never a bad idea to have back up!
574 Sneakers
I don’t believe in having too many sneakers; there is no such thing (kidding of course). I have been loving every pair of New Balance sneakers I’ve bought this year, so snagging these 574s in the beige color wasn’t a second thought! They run true to size for this style. Similar option here!
Hooded Ruana
Ruana is another word for poncho, and this hooded, cashmere poncho is so unique, I had to get it. It’s under $100 and so perfect for lounging around the house and even wearing as part of a chic travel look. I can’t wait to curl up in it this fall on the couch with the dogs!
Cashmere Mist Body Lotion
I also went ahead and bought the matching body lotion. I’ve never tried it before, but it’s the same Cashmere Mist fragrance, so I figure it will be as equally as lovely as a lotion. It’s a 32 ounce bottle on sale for $122 (usually $284)!
Cashmere Long Sleeve Tee
The material of this shirt is so gorgeous, I had to have it. It’s 85% Lyocell and 6% cashmere, making it 100% the softest long sleeve t-shirt. I love this elevated basic for a fall and winter wardrobe, and I love the sale price even more at $85.99 down from $129. It’s a must-buy in my book. This runs slightly big; I got an XS.
Short Sleeve Sweater
There is something so chic about a short sleeve sweater in the fall, and this was at the top of my wish list. It’s by Vince (a favorite of mine) and features a wool and alpaca blend, making it incredibly soft and not at all itchy. This sweater is not cropped; it hits right at the hips and, with the right red lipstick and CZ studs, makes a simple yet loud statement. This runs true to size; I got a small.
Other Featured Items I Didn't Buy
These Pants: I liked the fabric and fit, but they were too short for me at 5'10. This Blazer: I didn't like the cinched sleeves and the dickey didn't feel like the best quality. This Dress: Too short for me! This Blazer: Reminded me of the Masters blazer. These Jeans: Had way too much stretch for me. I like jeans a little more rigid. These Jeans: Still like my AGOLDE best. These Boots: Too similar to other pairs I have. These Mules: The heel height was kind of awkward and not flattering. These Flats: I really liked (go down 1/2 size), but I have my Chanel ballet flats and don't need something so similar.

Do you mind sharing what size Nike sweatshirt you got??
XS!
Love all of these pieces! I can’t wait to shop!
Amazing post! Thank you!
Thank you!
What is the actual inseam measurement on the Topshop Jeans? The Nordstrom site says 30 but they look to be more cropped…
Great overview – thank you!
For the BLANKNYC Madison Ripped Straight Leg Jeans, they look so good! The color on the site is so different than the pics. Does it look that different in person? On the fence only due to the color. Thanks for any input.
When I found this post on Pinterest, the picture was of you wearing an amazing chunky off white sweater with a turtleneck that had a decorative edge. It’s the 4th sweater from the left on the rack of sweaters in the top picture in this post.
I have scoured this post and the Nordstrom site and I cannot find the sweater! It’s driving me crazy! lol help!
Great picks from the sale!
The color of the Reiss coat looks a bit lighter than expected in your pics- do you think the pictures reflect the true color? Thanks!
First and foremost I have always loved your style and love your Nordstrom Sale picks every year. With that being said, I am really interested in getting the Veronica Beard Knee boot but I also see Sam Edelman has a knee boot as well. Any chance you tried those on as well and what your advice would be on which one to buy?
Thank you so much for adding your assistant’s pic with height! Love your style and LOVE to see it on a shorter person. Also, thanks for adding some color. Love seeing you in colors. Xx
