One of my absolute favorite looks for wintertime and the holidays is an all-black ensemble that’s both chic and cozy. When you’re tired of wearing jeans or need a break from some of your fancier holiday looks, a sweater dress with booties and tights is the perfect go-to!
This turtleneck sweater dress from Ann Taylor is what other sweater dresses wish they were. Between its soft and stretchy (i.e. forgiving) fit, the perfect knee-length, and the ribbed neck and hems, it creates the perfect base for a dressy sweater dress outfit. All you need to add is a great pair of heeled booties like these gorgeous suede stiletto booties (also from Ann Taylor) and, if you really want to take it up a notch, a pair of black sheer tights with sweet polka dots!
To me, this look screams holiday without being at all over-the-top. There are endless ways to style a sweater dress in winter, but this look is definitely up there for me. Put on your favorite red lip and some of your best gold jewelry pieces, and this look is holiday chic personified!
