I will always say summer is my favorite time of the year. However, lately I have been enjoying the cooler days this season. There is something about bundling up and being outside on a brisk, sunny day. I love being able to layer on fall/winter items for endless possibilities. I have found that the perfect layering piece for weather like this is the faux fur vest. It keeps me perfectly warm, while still looking chic.

For this look I layered my Banana Republic faux fur vest over a soft grey sweater and white button-up shirt. I have been wearing the shirt & sweater combo a lot this season (last seen here), and it gives the ensemble a more classic and refined look. I love mixing all the different neutral tones – which has definitely become my formula this season!

I typically live in my Stuart Weitzman Lowland over the knee boots on the weekends, as they are comfortable enough to wear through out the day. The boots gave this look the finishing touch. I’m looking forward to more weather like this, so I can continue to cozy up in my faux fur vest.
