Combat boots were all the rage in the 90s. They went away for a few decades, but came back with a vengeance last year, and I was so happy to see them again! I wasted no time in buying a pair and wearing them as much as I could in the fall and winter. But with every new year comes the urge to get a new or updated pair of shoes, and the combat boots are no exception which is why I treated myself to this pair from Sam Edelman for this season and could not love them more!
First and foremost, I am obsessed with the knit/leather combo. It’s such a unique mix of materials and makes them incredibly comfortable but also so sleek. I also love that they’re all black even down to the hardware. While I love metal and leather mixed, this monochrome combat boot is a very cool departure and they look so good with any number of bottoms: leggings, jeans, dresses, and skirts! For this specific look, I styled these amazing Sam Edelman combat boots with my favorite Commando faux leather leggings and an oversized cashmere sweater. To cozy it up even more, I topped off this perfect winter look with a long black wool coat! It's the perfect weekend look for running errands or even a stylish travel outfit. If you've been considering a pair of combat boots, you can't go wrong with this pair. They’ll meet all your combat boot needs and then some. And, in case you want some more options, I’ve linked more combat boot styles for fall below!
Editor's Note: Boots run slightly big; suggest going down 1/2 size.
