I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t ready for fall. The “warm front” that is currently in the south has me missing sweaters, coats, scarves, and layers. So until it decides to drop below 80 degrees, I will continue to share my favorite items that have me dreaming of fall, and patiently waiting in my closet to wear.

One of the big fall trends this year is velvet and I’m so excited about it. I have been on the search for a classic black velvet blazer and found the perfect one from J.Crew! I love how easily it can be dressed down with a white t-shirt and distressed denim, or dressed up with a feminine blouse and sexy pumps. This blazer will definitely be an essential I add to my wardrobe this season.

I’m also obsessing over anything stripes. And this striped turtleneck paired with jeans, booties, and a hat would be the perfect casual-chic weekend. What pieces are you most excited about wearing for fall?
