I have a huge fashion secret to share with you: Not wearing white after Labor Day is so not a thing anymore. If it’s the right winter white and the right kind of fabric and piece, you can wear white as much as you want throughout the winter season.
Take today’s look for example. Tan and white are typically more spring and summer-centric neutrals, but this neutral winter outfit is perfect for chilly winter weather. The gorgeous cashmere sweater is the perfect neutral tone with dramatic neck, cuff, and hem ribbed detailing to bring it to life. I paired it with my new favorite straight-legged white jeans by Reformation (one of my top products of 2024) and continued the monochromatic moment with some womens cream colored boots by Vince.
To make this look even more winter-ready, I topped it off with a taupe wool and cashmere coat. When it comes to how to style a taupe coat, the options are limitless because it’s such a perfectly neutral piece that lends itself to an array of looks. This is just one example!
This head-to-toe taupe and cream look creates a classy dinner date outfit for winter but if you want to make it casual - just swap the heeled boots for a stylish pair of neutral sneakers.
