Top 10 Spring Essentials All Women Need

With every season comes a new, seasonally-appropriate capsule wardrobe. Truthfully, my favorite type of post are my essential wardrobe posts because it sort of drowns out all the other noise and focuses on exactly what that season’s essentials are. Today, I’m giving you all a virtual tour of my spring closet and what I believe to be the ten 2021 spring essentials every woman needs for the season.

White Jeans

It’s not spring if you don’t have the perfect pair of white jeans to pair with your feminine springtime tops! If you read my blog regularly, you already know that my favorite pair of white jeans are Everlane jeans. I have white Everlane jeans in both a straight leg fit (AKA the original cheeky jean) and skinny leg fit (AKA authentic stretch high-rise skinny) and love them both equally.

Short Sleeve Sweater

With the warmer temperatures creeping in, spring is the best time to make sure you have the perfect short sleeve sweater in your wardrobe. I love this top option because it’s just a little heavier than a plain tee, especially for when spring nights get a little chilly. Layer it with a jean jacket for a perfect spring look! These styles from Everlane are some of my favorites!

Denim Jacket

Is there anything more quintessentially spring than a jean jacket? The answer is no. It’s the perfect lightweight layer over every spring dress or top and comes in so many varieties. My favorite two are my more fitted Madewell jean jacket and my relaxed Anine Bing denim jacket. Both serve different but stylish purposes!

White Sneakers

You need a crisp, clean white shoe for the spring. I got a pair of Frye’s White Ivy sneakers recently and cannot stop wearing them. Out of all the women’s white sneakers I own, these have already become a front-runner. They’re so comfortable and go with literally every outfit!

Utility Jacket

Besides the jean jacket, a green utility jacket is a must-have spring wardrobe essential. I take any opportunity I can to wear my Anine Bing army jacket, it’s that good. You can pair it with a simple tee or tank and pair of shorts or throw it over a spring midi dress, and it makes a perfect utility jacket outfit!

Midi Dress

When I have no idea what to wear and am tired of shorts, the first thing I do during spring is reach for a midi dress! I love the look of a casual midi dress paired with white sneakers. It’s breezy, playful, and the perfect outfit to wear all day into the evening, layered with a jean jacket! Spring midi dresses are the most stylish time saver.

Another 2021 spring essential is a great pair of mules. Mules are just so easy to slide on and off, and there are no socks required! I love pairing my Gucci mules with literally any outfit I can and, new to my line-up this year, are the Jenni Kayne oiled leather mules. These stay at the forefront of my closet through spring and summer! (Don’t forget to use code JACKSON15 to save 15% on your Jenni Kayne order)

Layering / Striped Tee

It’s not a complete spring wardrobe if you don’t have a great layering tee. It’s the kind of tee you can wear with just about anything and definitely underneath spring jackets and sweaters. I love this women’s stripe tee in the camel and white—it goes with everything!

Ripped Jeans

Time to show some skin! Okay, well at least your knees. Womens ripped jeans are the perfect denim for spring. For a ripped jeans outfit for spring 2021, I love Levis jeans and also SLVRLAKE jeans. They both create ripped jeans outfits that are edgy and tasteful!

Feminine Sweatshirt

#10 on my list of 2021 spring essentials is the perfect feminine sweatshirt. Like I mentioned earlier, spring nights can get chilly so it’s always good to have a light layer with you. I love a dressy sweatshirt option like this one from my Amazon The Drop collection and this Rebecca Minkoff puff-sleeved sweatshirt. If you’re wanting a womens sweatshirt without a hood and something a bit more elevated, these are both great options and fit perfectly into a spring capsule wardrobe!
