The Best Oversized Denim Shirt

A few years ago, I had numerous denim shirts hanging in my closet. Light, dark, fitted, button down, popover, you get it. I remember when denim shirts were the item to have [wear]. After a little while I retired my denim shirts, and found alternative shirt styles to wear. But after browsing through Nordstrom last week, I stumbled upon this light wash oversized style by Topshop and it literally stopped me in my tracks.

I hadn't considered buying another denim shirt because I felt like I had "been there done that" more recently and was looking for updated styles. However, this particular style from Topshop was elevated enough for me. I loved the light, almost bleached wash and the fact that it was oversized. Because I wanted it to be more oversized, I sized up intentionally. I love the relaxed feel paired with skinny jeans and heels as it makes for a great effortless outfit. I also plan to dress down the denim shirt with white shorts and sneakers for warmer summer days. If you had a denim shirt and decided to retire it, I highly recommend reconsidering as I've fallen in love all over again with the denim shirt trend.
