The world is in a weird place right now. With “self-quarantine” in full effect across most of the nation, most of us have been told to work from home (if you weren’t already, like me!) until further notice. Navigating this new normal is a bit tricky, especially when it comes to what to wear when you’re working from home. As much as I love wearing my PJs all day or answering emails in a sweater and leggings, I still want to look put together for video calls.
There is no work from home dress code, so we’re allowed to make the rules which I love. One of my favorite places to turn to for all things business casual is Ann Taylor. Although you’ll be taking meetings from the comfort of your home for the next little bit, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t dress the part! In fact, I try to “get ready” most days just for a general sense of normalcy right now, and Ann Taylor has made that so easy. This casual but chic button down dress is so easy to throw on for that Zoom meeting with a pair of cute sandals for the full effect. A dress like this offers minimal effort with maximum style results! It’s not too buttoned up but not straight up sweatpants—the perfect work from home happy medium we’re all looking for right now.
Plus, it will transition seamlessly for when this quarantine phase is over! I can’t wait to throw it on for an in-person business lunch or a casual stroll around some neighborhood shops with my husband this spring. You’re about to be the chicest employee on your video meetings!
