A Canadian tuxedo moment, but make it extra chic with the perfect black overcoat. I love a denim on denim look, especially because there are no real rules on how to style denim on denim. You can wear matching shades or completely contrasting shades — it all depends on how you feel in it.
For this look, I went with matching shades because I wanted a more monochromatic vibe. Both this denim shirt and the jeans are a classic medium blue wash, but not the same brand nor exact same color — they’re just close enough. The shirt is by KHAITE and is not only 100% cotton making it extra comfortable to wear, but also features snap buttons all the way down. The jeans are a high rise, relaxed leg silhouette by AGOLDE that fall over fall booties exactly right, like these black leather Toteme ankle boots I wore with this look.
Wearing black and denim together is a classic combination, so I completed this winter denim outfit by pairing it with a fabulous black coat also from Toteme. With its open-front and shawl lapels, it added the drama I was looking for with this chic black winter coat outfit. Let this denim on denim outfit idea inspire your next double denim look!
