The first month of the year can feel incredibly long, but this January actually flew by for me personally—probably because I was traveling so much (P.S. Check out my favorite airport/travel outfits blog post if you haven't already!). It was definitely a cold January, that’s for sure, and the top 10 sellers absolutely reflect that! From my long Moncler parka and the most comfortable sneakers I’ve ever owned, to my cashmere scarf and incredibly cozy pull-on booties, here’s what FJ readers were buying up in January:
This quilted down parka by Moncler is an investment piece for sure, but worth every dollar if you’re on the hunt for a heavy, comfy, cozy, incredibly insulated winter coat. Mocler is known for their technical approach to outerwear, and this parka is no exception. It’s also fashioned into a slim silhouette so you get all the warmth without the bulk! Check out the ways I style it on this blog post.
No one needs another pair of sneakers, especially me. However, these aren’t just sneakers—they’re the most comfortable everyday shoe you may ever own. The 574 New Balance sneakers are the perfect combination of function and fashion and look just as good with your athleisure/errand-running look as they do with tapered jeans and a sweater. For under $100, you truly won’t find a better or more wearable pair of sneakers on the market!
Ah, the MANGO coatigan. It should come as no surprise to anyone that this was a bestseller last month, as it’s been a bestseller for the last several months. It’s just such a good piece, period. It travels well, is the perfect layering piece over shirts/tanks/button downs, and it’s not a “trendy” piece of clothing, which means it’s always in style. I own it in all three colors and have no regrets about buying all three!
This bag is EVERYTHING. It’s not a secret that I love collecting handbags. As far as investment pieces go, I will always invest in a designer handbag when it feels right, and the Flamenco clutch by LOEWE (pronounced LOO-eh-VEY) is SO right. If you’re more of a minimalist with your style but still like to build your wardrobe around high-end pieces, this bag is perfect. It’s so simple, yet so beautiful. Plus, it functions as both a clutch or a crossbody bag, AND you can change out the strap to add even more personality to it (this is the extra handle I got for it). The knotted drawstring details make this handbag so unique, as does the slightly ruffled top. I have it in black and have been using it non-stop. It is perfection!
The amount of wear I’ve gotten from these lululemon Scuba High-Rise Joggers is incredible. They’re the kind of casual pants that I immediately wash and dry and put on again instead of finding anything else to wear. I love them so much that I have them in the heathered core ultra light gray, trench, and black. I size up in these for a relaxed, comfy fit. I also wrote about why they're the perfect travel jogger to wear on longer trips!
The 90’s Pinch Waist High Raise Straight Jeans by AGOLDE will probably always be my favorite jeans. They’re just perfect. Of course, they look and feel different on everyone depending on their style and body type, but for me, I always feel good in them no matter what. I show them a lot of love on this blog post about jeans in my closet, but I mention a lot of others if you’re shopping for jeans!
In the early aughts and into the mid 2000s, I owned a lot of scarves. Too many, to be honest. Now that I’ve really refined my style, I’ve realized you really only need one functional yet fashionable scarf in your closet, and it should probably be this cashmere scarf from Nordstrom. I have it in gray and it has become a staple in my winter wardrobe and travels with me wherever I go during the winter months! These cozy, faux fur lined pull-on booties are as close to the real deal as you’re going to get, but for a much lower price tag on Amazon at $70. If you don’t want to spend too much money on the resurgence of the trend, I can’t recommend these enough. I wear them all around the house, outside to get the mail, and pack them with me when I travel for hotel slippers! I just love them.
My second most popular pair of jeans from last month are the Annina Trouser Jeans by Citizen of Humanity. The super high-rise waist, wide-leg cut, and light blue wash give them a total 70’s vibe that I love so much. The mash-up of jeans + trouser is a super chic look and really easy and fun to dress up for date night or even on a Friday in the office!
Is $300 for a baseball hat a bit over the top? Sure. But do I love it? Yes. Sometimes in life, you want a bougie hat and if that “sometime” for you is now, this wool and cashmere blend by Totême is a great option. I have it in the camel color and wear it a lot. It’s the perfect bougie accessory for bad hair days or good hair days where you’re just craving a little something extra on top. Go ahead and treat yourself! Also here.
