Here I'll be sharing a little bit of everything; home updates, life updates, travel plans, what I'm shopping for, Nashville spots I've tried, discount codes, and really anything from the week that you guys might be interested in. I got a lot of requests with what you would like to see here, and it is actually helping me for future blog posts. I wanted this series to just be a true "everyday FJ" anything and everything. House Renovation Updates

I'm SO happy to say updates are DONE. All current projects have completed and we are done with contractors at the house until we start on the kitchen reno! I'm SOOOOOO excited. I shared a sneak peak of my closet on stories this week. I'm planning to start organizing it today and tomorrow. I need to order pulls for the drawers and I'm thinking about these.

Will's office bookshelves were installed and painted and they look SO good. We went with Sherwin Williams Grays Harbor.

The family room was also painted (White Dove) so once our rug arrives (we actually still need to order one), we will move all the furniture back into that room. Speaking of family room, I'm going to order this Christmas tree to put in front of the bay windows. Will doesn't like to decorate until after Thanksgiving, but I might be able to convince him to put the tree up a little earlier.

Travel

Tuesday I'm heading back to San Diego for the week to shoot work projects with Arielle! I'm loving that this has become a monthly occurrence and its so nice to get to see my family more!

Shopping

Well it's officially holiday shopping season and I rounded up a ton of gift guides in this post!

8 sweaters under $50 here!

My favorite camel blazer is currently 25% off!

This is the fireplace screen we just bought for the living room.

Looking for a dress to wear for Thanksgiving? I love this one and this one - both are under $130!

The Sephora Holiday Savings Event is happening now for Rouge members. I'm sharing my picks on the blog Tuesday, but for now, you can see my Sephora haul here!

Nashville

Last night I went to dinner at Pelican & Pig with a girlfriend and OH. MY. GOSH. One of the best meals I've had in Nashville. We tried so many of the starters and split and entrée. Highly recommend the fried provolone and the pumpkin cheesecake if you go soon. Make a reservation and go there hungry!

Earlier in the week I met up with another girlfriend for dinner at Santo, which is one of my favorites. I hadn't been in a while and they recently updated the menu. The great news is they added the fries to the dinner menu! Everything we had was delicious so I'm happy that I can still call it one of my favorites.

Watching/Listening/Reading

This was a busy week so I really didn't watch any new shows, just The Office which is my go-to for relaxing. I'm still struggling to get into White Lotus, but I think I only have 1 or 2 episodes left, so I guess I can't wait to be done?! I'm going to start 9 Perfect Strangers next.

Book updates: I was about to start The Midnight Library the other night but I got SO tired I just went to bed instead. I'll prob start it on the flight to San Diego! I'll leave the reader recs here in case you missed them last week! Verity (my rank: 10/10) Little Secrets (my rank: 8/10), The Last Thing He Told Me (my rank: 7/10), It Ends with Us, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Ugly Love, Behind Her Eyes, The Silent Patient, The Turn of the Key, November 9, Pretty Things, & Local Woman Missing.

3. Shacket: Another amazing outerwear trend that started last year and hasn’t slowed down is the shacket, and this wool blend one from Shopbop is awesome. Such an easy throw-on that really completes the look.

4. Fleece Pullover: Tis the season for cozy fleece sweatshirts! I got this one a few weeks ago from lululemon and its SO warm and well, cozy! I love the hood and kangaroo pockets. Perfect for morning walks or just lounging at the house!

5. Veja Sneakers: These Vejas are on-trend and so cool and practical. They are so comfortable and look good with casual and athleisure looks! I basically never want to take them off. 10/10 recommend!

    Hi Amy
In photo #2 (TOTALLY LOVE THIS LOOK!) with the Faux leather leggings & Sam Edelman boots, ivory hoodie, & long coat… DO U MIND SHARING WHICH EXACT COAT U R WEARING? I love the pattern, cut, & fact that it’s longer! I tried all the similar links posted but they were all out in my size. I am usually a size 2 in “most” brands.
