Another day, another “best of 2020” post to share with you guys! Today, I’m listing out the top 20 best-selling items that you all just had to have over the course of last year. From my favorite everyday jeans and sneakers, to the #1 best-selling boots and shacket, all 20 best-sellers are enough to build yourself the perfect winter capsule wardrobe!
Marc Fisher Booties
I’m not shocked at all that the Marc Fisher booties were the number one thing you guys loved this year. They’re the number one thing everyone loved this year because they’re truly the quintessential bootie. The height, the heel, the material, the overall look—they’re the perfect ankle bootie, and they’re timeless! See more ways to style them here!
ATM White T-Shirt
This is the white t-shirt that keeps on giving! It was a best seller last year and made it to the top of the list again because, much like the Marc Fisher booties, it’s the perfect one of its kind! I wear my ATM white tee weekly and usually multiple times a week. It’s absolutely perfect. FYI this is the t-shirt bra I wear with it!
J.Crew Camel Coatigan
One of my best buys this year was the J.Crew coatigan (a cardigan + coat) and you all seemed to agree! It proved to be the perfect layering piece that kept me super cozy and cute throughout fall and winter. See more ways to style it here!
Black Shift Dress
Month after month, this little black dress is at the top of my best sellers. It’s the kind of LBD that you can pair with any layering piece or accessory and create endless looks! Like the ATM white tee, it’s another amazing wardrobe piece that keeps on giving! See how I dressed it up and down in this post! FYI I'm 5'10 and wearing an XS.
Levi's Skinny Jeans
These are my go-to jeans and have been for quite some time. I wear them constantly, which is probably why they’re so high up in my best sellers! They fit like a glove and are the type of jeans that I feel great in without added bells and whistles. These Levis with the ATM white tee and a pair of sneakers is a perfect outfit IMO.
Topshop Shacket
You guys went crazy for this “car coat” AKA “shacket”! The shacket craze blew up the last bit of 2020, and this was one of the first ones I saw and had to have. It’s a neutral statement piece—my favorite.
Cashmere Sweater
This Halogen cashmere sweater was part of the Nordstrom Sale and was loved by so many of you! It’s actually still for sale for 50% off in limited colors and sizes, so grab one right now to wear for the remainder of winter! I wear an XS, sizing is relaxed.
Marc Fisher Winter Boots
Ugh, these winter boots! Another Marc Fisher homerun. If I could wear these every day in the winter, I would. They’re so comfortable and so stylish—you can’t help but feel like a snow bunny or seasoned skier when you have them on. I have them in both tan suede and black leather, they're that good. Plus, if you live in super cold states with actual snow, they’re a godsend!
Golden Goose Sneakers
The age-old question: Are Golden Goose sneakers worth the money? The short answer is YES! I love mine so much and have gotten my wear out of each of my pairs already. They’re the perfect all-around sneaker, and the numbers tell me you all agree!
Free People White Tunic Sweater
The Free People white tunic sweater was a hot ticket item during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year. Sadly, it’s pretty much sold out but I’ve linked an almost identical one so you can get in on the trend and start wearing it ASAP!
FRAME Ripped Jeans
If I wasn’t in my Levis this year, I was in my ripped, straight leg Frame jeans. These are some of the most comfortable jeans I own, and I would buy them all over again! Since they are almost sold out, linking this style that is so similar!
Madewell Black Leather Jacket
Everyone needs a classic black leather jacket in their wardrobe, and my favorite one that I’ve worn the heck out of so far is by Madewell. There are endless ways to style a black leather jacket, and you guys seem to agree that it’s well worth the investment! Read this post for more ways to style a black leather jacket.
Celine Sunglasses
My favorite sunglasses of all time, and yours, too! These are another investment accessory, but something you’ll wear almost daily and never get tired of.
Topshop Oversized Cardigan
Another top-selling item came from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in the form of this cozy, oversized cardigan. It’s almost sold out, so grab one while you can and get your wear out of the next few months of winter!
Veja V10 Sneakers
I was introduced to Vejas in 2018, but really fell in love with them this year and you guys did, too! If you haven’t read my full review on these trendy sneakers, be sure to check it out then treat yourself to a pair for the new year.
J.Crew Camel Blazer
The Regent blazer from J.Crew has been around for years because it’s a timeless, classic basic that could never not be on trend. I was excited to see it landed in the top 20 best sellers this past year; if I was building someone a wardrobe from the ground up, this blazer would definitely be one of the first items I chose!
Sam Edelman White Sneakers
You guys loved these budget-friendly sneakers, which look so similar to Golden Goose! The white with grey/beige leather looks so similar to the luxe sneaker line, I had to do a double take. Super comfortable and super affordable—what’s not to love?
Everlane Black Skinny Jeans
We all need a killer pair of black skinny jeans in our closet, and my top pick are the authentic stretch, high-rise, button-fly jeans from Everlane. They fit like an absolute glove, are so flattering, and go with just about everything!
Faux Leather Leggings
Another essential wardrobe piece, especially for the fall and winter weather when putting on another pair of jeans sounds way too daunting. You guys loved the Spanx & Commando faux leather leggings this year and styled them every which way! Read this post for tons of outfit inspiration!
Camel Coat
The last best-seller on this list was a late buy in December, but I’m so thankful I even came across it! This Topshop double breasted camel coat is what I would consider a perfect winter coat. I’ve been wearing mine non-stop since I got it, and recommend adding one to cart before they’re gone for springtime!
Loving everything on this list! Good place to look to if you’re trying to build a basic, classic wardrobe! Happy New Year!
