As the weather begins to warm up, I can’t help but want to wear light flowy dresses and skirts. They are easy to style and perfect for spring days. However, lately I have been gravitating towards to culotte trend. Don’t get me wrong, I still love dresses and skirts, but I’m beginning to love culottes as an alternative, even to the dress pant.

I already have a pair of black culottes (similar here) and I recently picked up this pair from Nordstrom. I love the exaggerated pleat front that gives a modern update to the silhouette. I paired them with my essential black sweater and added a new trench vest to complete the look (another trend I’m totally loving this season – see my last post here about the trench vest).

Simple. Sophisticated. Perfection.
